Erika earned her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting with the prestigious distinction of Summa Cum Laude from the Catholic University of Puerto Rico, Ponce Campus, in 1989. Her journey into the world of public accounting commenced with a role at Deloitte & Touche in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where she laid the foundation for her successful career. In 1992, she achieved certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
During the years 1990 to 1994, Erika served as a Senior Auditor at José L. Mendoza & Co, LLC, honing her expertise in financial auditing. In 1994, she embarked on a new chapter, becoming a Partner at Martinez & Morales, where she has accumulated an impressive 28 years of experience. Her expertise spans across various domains, including financial auditing, tax return preparation, tax planning, and the creation of financial statements for corporations, partnerships, small businesses, and individuals.
Erika’s commitment to academic excellence didn’t stop with her accounting degree. She achieved the distinction of Magna Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico. In 2000, Erika expanded her horizons by becoming an Attorney at Law, achieving the remarkable feat of ranking 4th highest in the Puerto Rico Bar Examination. Her dedication to the legal profession continued in 2013 when she was sworn in as an attorney at law in the State of Georgia. Erika currently offers legal services through the Law Office of Erika E. Morales, LLC, specializing in estates, wills, and business law consulting. She holds authorization to practice law in both the State of Georgia and Puerto Rico.
